Bangalore, Oct 2: Konkan Catholic Association, Bangalore, held Senior Citizen's Day for elderly people above 60 years of age. The function was held at Konkan Bhavan Mathikere. The event began at 9:30 AM with the Konkani mass with celebrated by Rev. Fr. Ronald Cardoza. Breakfast was served after the mass. KCA President Naveen D'Souza welcomed the gathering.

Rev. Fr. Ronald Cardoza, Karnataka region Director for Proclamation & Evangelization, was the resource person of the event and conducted a session for the elderly people. He highlighted the need for the elderly people to guide the younger generation, instilling the moral values in them, despite the generation gap with the modernized youth. The session included the presentations using laptop computer projection onto a screen, which also contained humors that enlivened the participants. Various talent show and games were conducted and prizes were given away to the winners by former KCA president Mr. Henry Pinto.

Secretary Mr. Michael D'Souza proposed vote of thanks. Lionel D'Souza compered the program. In the end the elderly representatives shared their feelings and thanked KCA for organizing the program. A sumptuous lunch was served in the noon and thus concluded the wonderful day.
